Gujaria Chandrakan

You can find Gujaria Chandrakan over at Annapurna Sadan in Mahuva. We are right on Pakhadi Road, specifically in the Muni Shopping area. It’s quite a local spot, not far from Vashi Talav. Sometimes in the evenings, you can smell the water or hear the birds from the pond area. The shopping center is always full of people looking for something or other. We are just one of the many doors along the row. Thurel is the local name people use for this bit of the neighborhood. Inside, the shop is a bit cramped because we have so much stuff tucked away in the corners. There is a counter that’s been scratched up over the years, but it’s solid. We keep a calendar on the wall and a few pictures of family. The floor is tile and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic. On busy days, it gets a bit loud with all the shouting from the other shops in Muni Shopping. We just go about our business. It’s a good place to be if you like being in the middle of things. Gujaria Chandrakan has been part of this street for a long time. People stop by on their way to the talav or after doing their groceries. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. No bells or whistles, just us here at Annapurna Sadan. We keep the doors open and just take the day as it comes.
