You’ll find Essar International School inside the Nand Niketan township over in Hazira. Being inside a township makes things a bit more contained than a typical city school. Most of the people around here work for the company, so we all know each other. It’s a quiet place for the most part, though the industrial sounds from the Hazira area are always there if you listen closely. We’ve got a decent building with plenty of rooms for all the different grades. It’s not about being the most modern or anything; it’s just about having a reliable place for the kids to go. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual school stuff—grading papers, fixing desks, and organizing the sports equipment. Sometimes the heat in Hazira can be a lot to handle, so we make sure the fans are always running. We don’t have any slick marketing teams. It’s just us, the teachers and the office staff, trying to keep the schedule on track. Every day is pretty much the same, but that’s fine with us. We like the stability of the routine. When the weekend comes, the whole place goes silent until Monday morning starts it all over again. It’s a simple life here at the township, and the school is just one part of that daily rhythm.
