Our place is spread across Plot No. 50 to 53 in the Babrik Industrial Estate. We are right opposite New Katargam, near GIDC on Fulpada Road. It’s a pretty large spot for this area, but we need the room for all the engineering work we do. Being spread across four plots means we are constantly walking back and forth between buildings. It’s a good way to stay active, I guess. The road outside is always full of trucks and tempos, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their deliveries in. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of welding and grinding. We have a lot of steel sitting around in various stages of being finished. It isn't a clean place; there is grease and metal shavings everywhere, but that’s engineering for you. We have a small cabin for the accounts, but mostly we are out on the floor. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon and makes it quite warm, so we try to get the heaviest lifting done early in the morning. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just take the drawings we get, figure out how to make the parts, and get to work. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and fixing things that don't go right the first time. We just stay focused on the task at hand and try to stay organized as much as we can.
