Deepkala Saree Centre

Deepkala Saree Centre is located in Surat, at 14/15 Shreepat Market. We are right across from Yamuna Baug, which is a nice landmark if you're trying to find us. Surat is known for its textiles, and we’re right in the middle of it all. Our shop has stacks of sarees everywhere you look. We spend a lot of time unfolding fabrics for people and then folding them back up again, which is a job in itself. It gets quite busy on the weekends when families come in together. We have different styles and colors, mostly stuff that people around here like to wear for daily life or small gatherings. The lighting in the market can be a bit bright, but it helps show the actual colors of the cloth. We’ve known our neighbors in Shreepat Market for a long time. It’s a community here. We open up early and stay until the last customer leaves. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when it's full, but we make it work. We don't have a big fancy display, just shelves and counters and plenty of sarees to look through. It's a simple business. We talk to people, show them what we have, and help them find something that fits their budget. It’s been our routine for years. Every day we see new trends, but we also keep the traditional stuff that never goes out of style. We usually take a quick tea break when the market quietens down in the mid-afternoon. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be here.
