Challenger Classes

Our place is right at Piyush Point in Pandesara, just across from J P Bakery. If you are walking by, you can usually smell the fresh bread from the bakery while we are sitting inside working on math problems. We are in B/16, and it’s a pretty easy spot to find if you know the area. The room isn't huge, but we have enough benches for the groups that come in after school hours. Most of the time, the floor is covered in a bit of dust because of all the feet coming in and out, but we try to sweep it every morning. We don’t really do anything flashy here. It is mostly just us and the students sitting around the tables, going over the science or grammar that they didn’t quite catch in their morning classes. Some of the older kids stay late to finish their homework because it is quieter here than at their homes. We have a couple of whiteboards that have seen better days, stained with old marker ink, but they still work fine for explaining things. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just open the door to get some breeze from the street. It’s a very local operation, and we know most of the families around Pandesara. We just focus on getting the daily work done and making sure the students don't fall behind. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood routine for us.
