Bhupendra B Bhatt

You can find Bhupendra B Bhatt on the second floor of Sai Bhavan. That’s in the Mahidharpura Fateganj area. It is an older building with a lot of character. We are in room 202. The stairs are a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time coming up. Mahidharpura is always buzzing with people, especially with all the diamond and textile work nearby. Our office is a bit quieter once you get inside and close the door. It’s a small space, mostly just books, papers, and a couple of wooden chairs for whoever stops by. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. There is a specific smell of old paper and dust that you get used to. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that rattle when they are on high. It works for us though. The light in the afternoon is actually quite nice through the side windows. We don't use any fancy software or high-tech gadgets, just the basics to keep our records straight. Most people who come here have been doing business with us for years. They know exactly where to find the building behind the main Fateganj stretch. It’s just Bhupendra and a couple of helpers running the show. We handle things personally. If the phone rings and we’re busy, it might just keep ringing until we finish what we’re doing. It’s a traditional way of working.
