Bhikamchand Industrial Store

Bhikamchand Industrial Store sits at number 56 along Khatodara Bajirao Road. We are pretty close to the Ambanagar Naher, so it’s easy to find us if you know the canal. The store has been in the family for a long time. We mostly stock stuff for the industrial units around here. It’s a lot of nuts, bolts, and various hardware that people need for their machines. The walls are lined with wooden shelves that we built ourselves years ago. They are sagging a bit under the weight of all the metal, but they hold up. It’s usually pretty quiet inside until a big order comes through. We spend a lot of time counting out small parts and putting them into bags. My father started this place because he saw all the factories popping up in the area. Now, things have changed a lot, but the store stays much the same. We don’t have a fancy computer system for everything. We write down sales in a big ledger and keep track of things that way. It works for us. The air always smells a bit like metal and grease. Sometimes the traffic on Bajirao Road gets really loud, especially in the afternoons. We just sit on our stools and wait for the next customer to walk in. It’s a simple life running a hardware shop. We don’t need much else besides a full stock and a few regulars.
