Bhatt Brothers

Bhatt Brothers is tucked away in the Surat Trade House, specifically at number 18. Surat is a hot place, and the Trade House can get pretty humid in the middle of the day. We’ve been working out of this space for a good while. It’s a busy building with a lot of people moving around, carrying bundles and papers. Our office is more of a workspace than anything else. We have desks piled with ledgers and samples. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. My brother and I started this because we wanted to do something on our own. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. There’s always a bit of chaos here, especially when multiple people are trying to talk at once. We don't have a big staff, just us and a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting. The windows look out over the street, which is always jammed with traffic. We usually stay late to catch up on things when the building gets a bit quieter. There’s a small tea shop on the ground floor that makes the best ginger tea, and we probably go there four times a day. It’s a simple life here at number 18. We don't bother with fancy meetings. We just sit down, look at the work in front of us, and try to get through the day's list.
