Bhagat Jitendra Ramanlal

My office is in the Elbee Apartment building, specifically unit C-75. It is right on the Ring Road, which is probably the busiest street in all of Surat. We are very close to Ratan Cinema, so on the weekends, the whole area gets flooded with people coming to see the movies. You can hear the crowds and the traffic from inside the apartment. It’s a small space, nothing like those big offices you see in the newer parts of the city. I’ve been here for a while, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. I spend my time going through records and meeting with people who come by. It’s a one-man show for the most part, though sometimes family members help me out. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks or try to sound like a big company. I’m just Jitendra, and this is where I do my business. The Ring Road is always dusty and noisy, but it’s a good location because everyone passes by it at some point. I usually have the radio playing in the background while I work. Sometimes I go down to the street to get some fresh air, but it’s mostly just more exhaust fumes. I just focus on finishing my work for the day so I can head home. It’s a simple life, and I’m used to the rhythm of this building. I’ve seen many businesses come and go while I have stayed here.
