We’ve been here at B 703 Nanpura Kanaknidhi Apartment for quite a while now. It’s right opposite Gandhi Smruti Bhavan, which everyone knows around here. Most days start pretty early because the traffic in Nanpura gets going before you even have your tea. Being in an apartment complex means you see the same faces every morning. We do our work here, nothing too fancy, just keeping things moving. Sometimes the elevator acts up, but that’s just part of living in Surat, isn’t it? People drop by if they need something, and usually, we’re just sitting here with the window open looking out at the Bhavan across the way. It’s a good spot, really. We aren’t trying to be the biggest place in town. We just handle what comes our way. My father used to say that a steady pace is better than a fast one. So that’s what we do. You’ll find us here most days until the evening sets in. The light hits the building just right in the afternoons. It gets a bit noisy when there is an event at Gandhi Smruti Bhavan, but we don’t mind the buzz. It keeps things interesting. If you are looking for us, just find the apartment building and head up. It’s simple. We like it that way. No big signs or flashing lights, just our door and a bit of work to get through before the day ends.
