Balikaa Sarees

We are located in the heart of the Surat Textile Market, specifically at K-2292. This market is a massive place on Ring Road, and it can be quite overwhelming if you don't visit often. Balikaa Sarees has been tucked away in this unit for a good bit of time. The aisles are narrow and usually filled with workers carrying large bundles of cloth on their shoulders. Our space is packed from floor to ceiling with different fabrics. There is barely enough room to walk sometimes, but we know where every single item is kept. It’s a bit of a chaotic environment, but there is a rhythm to it that you only understand if you work here every day. The lights are bright because we need to see the colors of the sarees clearly. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come in, look at the stock, and we pull down what they want to see. It’s a lot of lifting and folding throughout the shift. By the end of the day, our backs usually ache a bit. The market is always loud with people bargaining and carts rattling over the floors. We usually take our lunch break right here among the stacks of cloth. It is a busy, tiring, but honest way to spend the day. We have been part of this market community for years and it’s just where we belong. We finish up, lock the unit, and navigate the crowds back to the main road.
