If you head over to Katargam and find 3rd Main Road, you’ll see us at 24, right near the 7th Cross. This is where Asarawala Sonal has been for a long time. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets, but you still get the kids playing in the street and the vegetable vendors coming by with their carts. Our place is pretty modest. We have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of papers that seem to multiply when I’m not looking. I’ve spent many years in this specific neighborhood, so I know most of the families living around the 7th Cross. We don't really go in for fancy advertising or anything like that. Most people find out about us just by walking past or because a neighbor mentioned we were here. We handle our business in a slow and steady way. There’s no rush to be the biggest name in town. We just want to make sure the work we do is solid. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps and chat until it comes back on. It’s that kind of place. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just come to work, do what needs doing, and go home to our families. Every day is a bit different, but that is part of why we like it here. It’s just simple work for simple people.
