If you come down to Saroli, you’ll find us at H/14 on the 2nd Cross. This part of the Kacharakanahalli Extension is mostly quiet until the shoppers start showing up in the afternoon. Annpurna Sarees is a small place but we keep a lot of stock crammed in every corner. Every morning involves unfolding things and then folding them back up again to keep them looking right. It’s a lot of fabric to manage for just a few people. We don’t have a big fancy storefront with bright flashing lights, just a regular door in the extension area. Most of our neighbors are other small businesses or families living in the houses nearby. The 2nd Cross can be a bit tight for parking sometimes, especially on the weekends when everyone is out. We spend our time checking the patterns and making sure everything is stacked neatly on the shelves, though it never stays that way for long once people start looking through things. Saroli is a good spot for a business like ours. It feels like a real community. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk past our door every day. It’s not a corporate operation at all. It’s just us in the shop, drinking some chai and waiting for the next person to walk in. We don’t do much advertising; people just seem to find their way to H/14 when they need something. It’s a simple way to run things.
