Amit Ghadia

My name is Amit Ghadia and my workspace is located at D 31 32 in the Nand Kishore Industrial Estate. This is over in the Adajan Dn area, right off Mahakali Caves Road. It’s quite close to Sardar Bridge, which makes getting here a bit easier depending on the traffic. The industrial estate is a busy place with lots of different businesses running at once. You hear trucks and people moving things all day long. My units, D 31 and 32, are right in the thick of it. It’s a practical space. I don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture. It’s mostly just equipment and the things I need for work. The walls are a bit plain, but it works for me. Being near Sardar Bridge is handy because it’s a major landmark. People usually find the place once I tell them it's near the bridge and the caves road. The Mahakali Caves Road area has its own rhythm. Mornings are the loudest when everyone is opening up. I usually have tea at the small stall nearby before starting the day. It’s a lot of manual work and checking on things. I’ve been in this spot for a while now. The industrial estate has seen a lot of changes, but my unit stays pretty much the same. It’s just a place where things get done.
