Som Flyash Brick

We are located on Gole Bazar Road in Sadheipali. It’s a pretty busy area with a lot of people moving around at all hours. Here at Som Flyash Brick, we work with fly ash instead of just regular clay. It’s a bit different but the end result is still a solid brick for building walls and houses. The yard is usually stacked high with grey bricks waiting to be picked up by the customers. We started this because we saw a need for it in the local market. Dealing with the ash can be a bit messy, so we try to keep the place as tidy as we can, though it’s never perfect. The trucks come in early to drop off materials and then the machines get going. It’s a steady rhythm that we follow every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and talk for a bit until it comes back on. That’s just part of being in Sadheipali. We know most of our neighbors and the guys who drive the delivery trucks around Gole Bazar. It’s not a corporate office kind of vibe here. We wear boots and work clothes because that’s what the job needs. If you walk down the road, you can’t miss the stacks of grey bricks. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of each batch because we don't want any bad ones going out. It's just a regular job for us and we like being here.
