Natraj Bricks

Natraj Bricks is located in Indrapur Village, which is part of the Kuarmunda Tehsil and not too far from Rourkela. It’s a quiet village setting for the most part, though things get busy when we are in full production. We have a big open space where we lay out the bricks to dry. The soil around here is good for what we do, and we’ve been working this plot of land for a while. You can see the hills in the distance on clear days, but mostly we are just looking at the bricks. The workers live nearby in the village, so they just walk over in the mornings. We have a small pump for water and a few sheds for storage. It’s a very manual process, and you can see the handprints on some of the bricks if you look close enough. We don't have a fancy showroom or any sales team; people just come to the village and find us. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait around for it to come back so we can use the equipment. During those times, we just sit in the shade and talk. The road leading into Indrapur can be a bit narrow for the bigger trucks, so they have to be careful when they turn. It is just a basic brickyard in a rural area, and we like it that way. We just keep making bricks and stacking them day after day.
