Shalla & Sons

Shalla & Sons is a small family operation located in the Rainwari part of Srinagar. You can find us right in Kralyar, very close to V.B College. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history in the streets. We’ve been running things from this spot for a long time, and the neighbors all know who we are. The weather here in Srinagar changes the way we work depending on the season, especially when the winters get cold. We just keep the shop open and do what needs to be done. It isn't a fancy place with modern decor. It’s mostly just wooden shelves and the smell of the city outside. Being near the college means there are always students and people walking by. We’ve stayed as Shalla & Sons because that’s the family name and it’s what we stand by. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything like that. People just know we are here in Kralyar if they need something. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded, but we don’t mind the noise. It’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We take pride in just showing up every morning and staying until the work is finished. It’s a quiet life in some ways, but it keeps us busy enough. We plan on staying right here near V.B College for as long as we can. The college students are always coming and going, making the area feel alive. Sometimes the street gets narrow with carts but we don't mind the pace.
