Down on Dr. Ali Jan Road, right near the Eid Gah Aali Musjid, you’ll find our place. M A Sheikh & Sons has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. It’s the kind of area where you hear the call to prayer throughout the day, which gives the whole office a bit of a rhythm. My father started things here, and now the rest of us are just keeping it going as best we can. It’s not a shiny new building. The walls have some marks, and the desks are a bit old, but they’ve seen a lot of hard work over the years. We usually have people dropping by just to chat or ask for advice, and we always try to have a chair ready for them. It gets busy during the middle of the week, with papers everywhere and the phones ringing more than they probably should. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things about us. We just handle the business day by day. Sometimes things get a little disorganized, but we always find what we’re looking for eventually. Working with family means we argue sometimes, but it also means we really care about what we’re doing here. It’s just how things are on this side of town, and we wouldn't really want to be anywhere else.
