If you walk down Residency Road, you’ll find us inside the King Building. It is an old-fashioned sort of place, right in the middle of all the noise and traffic of the city. We’ve been operating Opal Cements Pvt. Ltd. from here for a good while. The stairs in the building are a bit worn, and the elevators can be slow, but it has character. Most days are spent at our desks, managing the flow of cement orders and talking to contractors who stop by. The windows look out over the street, so we see the city change through the seasons. It gets pretty loud during rush hour, but we’ve grown used to the horns and the shouting. We keep our space simple, with just enough room for the files and a place for people to sit when they come to settle their accounts. It isn't a shiny new office, but it works for what we need. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the numbers and the logistics of getting the cement where it needs to go. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but we just use that time to catch up on paperwork. Being on Residency Road means we are easy to find, which is the main thing. We are just a group of people doing our jobs in an old building and going home at five.
