Life School

Life School is located right in the school building over in Zalsoo Charar-I-Sharief. If you know the Chadoora area in Budgam, you probably know where we sit. It’s a local place. We spend our days here dealing with the daily routines of a school. There is always noise in the hallways and kids moving from one room to another. It gets pretty loud during the breaks, which is expected. We’ve been at this address for a bit now, and the building has seen a lot of seasons. The walls have some marks and the floors show the wear of many feet, but that’s just part of it. We don’t have a massive staff, just enough people to keep the classes going and the gates open. Sometimes the heaters work great and sometimes they’re a bit finicky in the winter months. Budgam can get cold, so we just wrap up and keep moving. Our desks are usually piled with papers and notebooks that need looking at. It isn't a high-tech operation with shiny gadgets everywhere. It’s just a regular school building where we show up every morning. We know the families around here because they live just down the road or in the next village over. It’s a straightforward life, working in education in this part of the world. We just try to keep things steady and make sure the doors are unlocked on time every single day.
