Impression

Our shop is tucked away in Kral Khud, right in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar. We are at Shop No.218, which is very close to the Kral Khud Police Station. Being in Lal Chowk means it is always crowded and there is a lot of energy in the air. We do various types of printing and design work here at Impression, though the shop is quite small. You’ll usually see stacks of paper and ink cartridges sitting around on every available surface. We have a few machines running that make a constant humming sound all day long. People come in with all kinds of requests, from small business cards to larger prints, and we just try to get them done as they come in. It’s not a fancy studio; it’s a working shop where we often have ink on our fingers by lunchtime. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often chat while we’re out getting tea. The police station nearby is a good landmark for people who haven't been to this part of 190001 before. We don't spend money on big ads; most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. We just try to keep the machines in good shape and make sure the colors look okay on the paper. It’s a busy life but we enjoy being right in the heart of the city.
