If you know Parraypora, you know it’s a lively spot in Srinagar. Grills Bistro & Kitchen is located right there on IG Road, specifically in Ibrahim Colony. Adnan Parvaiz Mir started this because we all love good food and wanted a place where people can actually get a decent meal without any drama. It’s a kitchen first and foremost. We spend a lot of time over the stoves and making sure the prep is done right every morning. The bistro part is where folks can sit down, but honestly, it’s the cooking that keeps us going through the day. Being near the main road means we see a lot of students and families walking by, and we like that vibe. We try to keep things very simple. We aren't trying to be some high-end five-star place with white tablecloths. It’s just us, cooking what we know and like to eat ourselves. The address is a bit long to write out on an envelope, but once you’re in Ibrahim Colony, we aren't hard to spot at all. Sometimes the kitchen gets really hot and crowded, especially during the lunch rush when everyone is hungry at the same time. We deal with the usual stuff like late deliveries of vegetables or running out of coal for the grill. But that’s just how it is running a kitchen in Srinagar. We’ve had some good days and some really long ones where we just want to go home. We just want to make sure when someone eats our food, they feel like it was worth the stop. It’s a local business through and through.
