Eat Outt

Lal Chowk is a place where something is always happening, and that is where you will find us. We are called Eat Outt, located right near the famous clock tower in Srinagar. If you are walking around the city center, you have probably passed by us. The weather here changes so fast, one minute it is sunny and the next there is a chill in the air coming off the mountains. We spend a lot of our morning just getting things ready before the crowd arrives. The clock tower is a landmark everyone knows, so we just tell people to look for that. It gets very crowded during the tourist season, but we also have our local friends who come in every single day for years. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains, and we are constantly mopping it up. Srinagar has a certain rhythm, especially in this part of town. You hear the honking of the cars and the voices of people haggling in the market nearby. Our shop isn't very large, but we make do with the space we have. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just carry on. It is a humble place, really. We didn't put a lot of money into fancy signs. Most of our furniture is just standard stuff that works. It’s just us doing our thing every day, serving whoever walks through the door.
