Al-Noor

Al-Noor is tucked away in Soura, right behind the Rehmat Masjid. It’s actually located within the Ramzan Memorial School area. It’s a bit of a quieter spot than if we were right on the main Soura road, which is nice for focusing. The building is an older one, and you can see the history in the walls and the wooden window frames. We have been part of the Srinagar 190011 community for years. It’s a very local atmosphere here, and we often hear the call to prayer from the mosque next door throughout the day. The classrooms are simple, with basic benches and desks that have been used by many students over the years. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or fancy interiors. It’s just a place for learning. Most families in this part of Soura know us personally. We don’t really operate like a big business. It’s more of a community service feel, though we do have to charge enough to keep the lights on. The walk from the main road isn't too long, and most of our students just walk over from their homes nearby. We try to keep things humble and focused on the students’ needs. There’s no big promotional talk here. We just show up every day, open the classrooms, and get to work helping the kids with their school lessons. It’s just how we do things. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains hard, but we just move the tables around. That's life here.
