Kottammathalli Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over at 1-71, Kalinga Street in Harischandrapuramvillage, which is part of the Kotabommali Mandal. Kottammathalli Farmer Producer Company Limited is the name we use, but most people here just know us as the local farmers who finally decided to work together. The village is a quiet place for the most part, except when we are moving the harvest out. We spend a lot of time on Kalinga Street just talking about the prices and how we can get a better deal for the crops we work so hard on. It is not easy to organize so many different people, and we have had our share of problems trying to get the paperwork right for the government. We just want to make sure that the people who actually do the planting and the weeding are the ones who get the money in the end. Our office is not much to look at, just a room with some chairs and some ledgers, but it is where all the big decisions for the village farmers happen. We have been through many bad seasons together, so we know how important it is to have each other's backs. It is just honest work, nothing more and nothing less. We are just trying to keep the tradition of farming alive in Kotabommali while making sure we can actually afford to keep our homes and feed our kids.
