Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Mahiyanwali is situated in the Sri Ganganagar district. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which is actually quite nice for the students. The school has a sprawling campus because it's out in a more open area. It’s a government-backed setup, so things follow a very specific routine. We have students living here, so it’s more than just a place for classes; it’s their home for most of the year. This means the staff and students spend a lot of time together, even after the formal teaching hours are over. The buildings are built for utility, not for showing off. We have large dormitories and big dining halls where everyone eats together. Life here is structured. We wake up early, do some exercise, and then get into the books. Because we are in Sri Ganganagar, the farming surroundings are always visible, and the air is different than in the bigger cities. We don't have any flashy slogans. Our focus is simply on the students who come from various backgrounds to study here. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or we need to fix a broken window, but that’s part of managing a large campus. It’s a place where kids learn to be independent while they study for their exams. It’s a lot of work for everyone, but we just keep going day after day until the term ends.
