Khalsa Public Senior Secondary School

Over in Ward No.3 of Morjand Sikhan, you’ll see Khalsa Public Senior Secondary School. It’s a familiar sight for anyone living around this part of Hanumangarh. We’ve been running the school here for years, catering to the families in the village and the surrounding fields. It’s a senior secondary school, so we have the older kids preparing for their big life steps alongside the little ones just learning to write. The building is solid and has seen many batches come and go. We don't spend much on flashy decorations; instead, we focus on making sure the classrooms are ready for the day. Our teachers are hardworking people who often stay late to help someone who is falling behind. There’s a lot of dust during the dry months, but the school stays a busy hub of activity regardless. We follow the state board rules and make sure the paperwork is always in order for the exams. The kids here are mostly from farming backgrounds, so they know the value of hard work. We have a small area for sports and the usual morning assembly where everyone gathers. It’s a simple life here in Morjand Sikhan. We just provide a place where education is possible without having to travel all the way into the main city. It’s a community effort, really, keeping the school going year after year. We keep the gates open for anyone in the ward who wants to learn.
