Path Dairy

Running a dairy shop like Path Dairy over here in C-5/3 Safdarjung Development Area means our days start way before most people are even awake. The milk crates arrive early and we have to get everything sorted before the morning rush. It is a small spot, but we’ve made it work for a long time. People from the neighborhood come in for their daily packets of milk or maybe some curd for lunch. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure the refrigerators are running right and the stock is fresh. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and that causes a bit of a headache with the regulars waiting outside, but they usually understand. We know who wants the full-cream and who’s looking for the low-fat stuff without them even asking. The shop gets a bit crowded during the evening when people are heading home from work. We try to keep things simple and clean. There isn’t much to the decor, just the counters and the cooling units. We’ve seen kids grow up in this area, coming in first with their parents and now coming in on their own. It’s a quiet kind of life in Safdarjung, and we like being part of the daily routine for the families around here. We just focus on getting the crates in and out every day without making too much of a fuss about it.
