Our office is at 16, Bhikaiki Cama Place over in Rk Puram. It is a well-known building in a busy part of town. There are always people coming and going, and finding a parking spot can be a real struggle if you arrive late. We work in the energy sector, mostly dealing with gas and pipelines. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it’s a lot of desks, computers, and stacks of files. We have been here for a long time. The rhythm of the day is pretty set. We start early, get our tea, and then get into the paperwork. Dealing with energy projects means there are a lot of regulations and forms to fill out. It can be a bit dry sometimes, but it is important work. We don't really have a lot of decorations on the walls; it’s mostly just maps and charts that help us keep track of things. On lunch breaks, we usually walk around the Bhikaiki Cama area or sit in the common spaces. The elevators are sometimes slow because so many people use them. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the gas flows where it is supposed to go without any hitches. It’s a big operation, but we just focus on our specific tasks every day. It’s a job like any other, and we try to do it right. We have seen many people come and go.
