Artists At Work

Our workshop, Artists At Work, is located at Chasra No.416 in Ghittorni Village. We are right off the main Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, which is always packed with cars heading towards the city. Ghittorni is an interesting place because it still feels like a village in some parts, even though there are big showrooms everywhere now. Our space is more of a rustic workshop than a clean studio. There is usually sawdust or paint on the floor, and tools are scattered across the workbenches. It is a bit messy, but that is how we work best. The building is a simple structure and we have a lot of stuff stored in the rafters. Sometimes the goats from the village wander near the entrance, which is a funny contrast to the busy MG Road just a few meters away. We do not have a fancy sign or a polished front desk. You mostly just walk in and find us in the middle of a project. The air is always a bit dusty, and we keep the big doors open for ventilation. We usually grab lunch from one of the local dhabas nearby. It is a noisy, busy place to be, but it is where we do all our making and building. We have been in this spot for a while and we like the grit of the neighborhood. It is not a corporate environment at all, just a place where real work happens every day with our hands.
