Our office is at A-1/172 in Safdarjung Enclave. It’s a residential-looking area but there are plenty of businesses like ours around here. Being in an export business means we are often dealing with time zones and lots of shipping documents. The office isn't very large, but we make it work with the desks we have. There’s always a stack of folders somewhere that needs looking at. Most hours are spent on the computer or checking samples that come in. Safdarjung is a nice enough area, though finding a spot to park on the street is nearly impossible after ten in the morning. A small pantry in the back is used for making coffee, which helps on those long afternoons. The phone rings quite a lot, and there’s usually some discussion about shipping dates or container space. It’s a plain office with white walls and some basic furniture that's been there a long time. Nothing fancy to look at, really. The main focus is making sure the goods get to where they are supposed to go. It can be a bit stressful when things get delayed at the port, but that’s just part of the trade. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even if the desk gets buried under paperwork sometimes. It’s just us doing our thing in this corner of Delhi. No flashy showroom is needed to do the work properly.
