Vidya Vikas Academy

We are situated up on Monte Road in Margao. It’s a bit of a climb to get here, but it’s a nice spot away from the heavy traffic of the main market area. The school has a pretty good view of the surrounding town. We have been part of the Margao community for quite some time now. The building is white and stands out against the green trees on the hillside. In the mornings, the road gets quite busy with parents dropping off their children in cars or on scooters. We have a small assembly area where we start our day with a prayer or announcement. The classrooms are basic but have plenty of windows to let the breeze in, which is very helpful in the Goan heat. We have a small staff who have been with us for years. It’s a friendly place, and we try to keep things organized despite the chaos that usually comes with a school full of kids. We have a little canteen that sells snacks and drinks during the break. You can often hear the sound of the church bells from nearby. It’s a peaceful neighborhood mostly. We don’t go in for anything too flashy or modern. The kids have their uniforms, their books, and their friends. We just make sure the lessons are taught and the environment is safe for them. It’s a regular school day for us, filled with the usual noise and activity.
