Yung Mode Fashions Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away at K-60A on the ground floor in Kalkaji. It’s a bit different from those big industrial estates because we’re right here in a more residential-feeling part of South Delhi. The office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy to move samples in and out without having to deal with stairs or elevators. Since we are in Kalkaji, parking is always a bit of a headache, but we manage somehow. Inside, it’s mostly racks of clothes and desks covered in sketches and fabric swatches. It can get a bit cluttered when we’re working on a new collection, but that’s just how it goes in fashion. We aren't a big flashy boutique; it's more of a workspace where the actual designing and planning happens. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the market or headed home. We have a small team, and we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s checking a hem or talking to a vendor on the phone. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, but that’s just life in Delhi. It’s a pretty relaxed atmosphere most days, as long as we aren't hitting a major deadline. We just like making clothes and doing our work here in the neighborhood. It is a simple setup but it works for us.
