Voltas Ltd

We work out of the Textile Machinery Division over here on Mathura Road, specifically at A-43 in the Mohan Co-Operative Industrial Estate. It is a pretty large area and there is always something going on with the machines. Most of our day is spent looking at parts or talking to people about how their textile setups are running. It is a bit of a drive to get here because the traffic on Mathura Road can be really bad during the rush hours, but we are used to it by now. The workshop floor is always a bit noisy and there is that smell of oil and metal that you get in these kinds of places. We handle a lot of different pieces of equipment and sometimes it gets complicated with all the different models. We aren't really the type to sit in quiet offices all day; we are mostly out where the stuff is being moved or fixed. The team here has been together for a while and we just get on with the jobs as they come in. It’s a practical kind of place where things get repaired or shipped out daily. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything, just the workspace and the machines. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up a particularly stubborn piece of equipment, but that’s just how it goes in the textile business.
