We are based in the Espire Building on Mathura Road in New Delhi. If you know the area, you know how the traffic gets around A 41. Humboldt Wedag India Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi is basically just a group of us sitting in a cooled office while the trucks roar by outside. It gets really loud during rush hour, but you eventually stop hearing it. We’ve got a decent setup here with enough space for everyone’s desks. We mostly handle things for the industrial sectors, looking at plans and talking to suppliers. The building itself is quite modern, but our office feels lived-in. There are coffee stains on some of the desks and stacks of manuals that have been there for months. It’s not about looking perfect; it’s about getting the actual work finished. Lunch usually involves someone bringing in parathas or ordering something from a nearby shop. We don’t have fancy meetings with big speeches. Usually, it’s just a quick chat over a desk to figure out a problem. The New Delhi heat is no joke, so the air conditioning is our best friend from March until October. Sometimes the power flinches, and we all groan because the computers restart. It’s a normal office with normal people. We just show up, do the engineering work, and try to get home before the evening traffic gets completely stuck. It’s a long day, but it’s our day and we make the best of it.
