Mohindra Engineers

Our workshop is over in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I. We are in one of the DSIDC sheds, specifically number 142. It’s a very industrial part of town, so expect some noise and the smell of oil when you come by Mohindra Engineers. The shed is a large, open space with high ceilings where we do all our engineering work. It isn't a place for suits or fancy shoes. Most of us are in work clothes that usually have a few grease stains. There are heavy tools, workbenches, and various pieces of machinery spread out across the floor. It can get quite loud when the machines are all running at once. We don't have a separate, quiet office; the desk is right there in the middle of the action with all the blueprints and logs. The lighting is just standard industrial bulbs, and it gets pretty warm in the summer months. We focus on getting the parts right and making sure everything is built to the right specs. It’s a hands-on environment where we are constantly measuring and fixing things. You’ll find metal scraps and sawdust in the corners because that’s the reality of a working shed. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where we get the real work done. People from other units in Okhla often stop by to chat or ask for help with something. It’s a gritty, practical spot for engineering.
