Vikran Overseas

Up in New Manglapuri, which is part of the Mehrauli area of New Delhi, you’ll find Vikran Overseas at 103/A. It’s an old neighborhood with a lot of history and narrow lanes that can be a bit of a nightmare for driving. Our place is tucked away and doesn’t look like much from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a few worktables. We deal with a lot of packages and shipping labels every day. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving boxes around, and there’s always a roll of packing tape sitting somewhere nearby. Mehrauli is a busy place, so there’s always the sound of horns and people talking right outside the door. We have a small cooler for water and an old kettle for making coffee when the weather gets cold in the winter. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We just come in, do the work that needs to be done, and head home. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, sitting under the fluorescent lights until the job is finished. The floor is concrete and easy to sweep, which is good because of all the dust that blows in. We know most of the people on this street by name. It’s a community feeling, even if we are all just busy with our own businesses. We just try to keep things simple and functional here.
