Okhla Mandi is always a busy place, and that’s where you’ll find Pramod Gramodyog. It’s a lot of noise and movement out there with people moving goods all day. We are right in the middle of all that chaos. Our place is filled with stuff we’ve made or are getting ready to sell. It smells a bit like raw materials and sweat. We don't have much in the way of decoration; the walls are just plain and there are boxes stacked everywhere. We’ve been working out of this spot for a long time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so everyone knows their role. Some days we are loading trucks until late in the evening. Other days we are just sitting around checking the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. The mandi is a tough place to work because it’s always crowded and dusty, but we like it here. It feels real. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us by walking in or through word of mouth. We use old ledgers to keep track of sales because that’s what we are used to. It's a lot of manual work. We aren't trying to be anything big, just trying to keep the business running like it always has. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a lot of long hours but we don’t mind too much.
