Vidyavan Exports

Our office is at 64, Bhagwan Nagar, right on the Gurudwara Bala Shaib Road in the Aashram area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it can get really loud with all the cars and people moving around outside. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling all the paperwork and shipping details for the export business. The desks are usually covered in manifests and customs forms that need signing. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and some maps. Dealing with exports means we are often on the phone or checking emails at odd hours because of the time differences. It’s not the kind of job that ever really stops. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes when a big shipment is due, it gets a little chaotic around here. The delivery trucks sometimes struggle with the narrow parts of the road, so we spend a fair bit of time out on the pavement waving them in. We don't bother with corporate talk or polished brochures. We just do the work that needs doing and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go. Aashram is a hectic place to work, but it suits us just fine. There is always a lot of tea being drunk in the office to keep us going through the long afternoons.
