Utsav Fashion

Down in Phase 1 of the Okhla Industrial Area, you’ll find our building at B 112. Utsav Fashion is a very busy place, especially when the weather starts to change and new styles come in. There’s a lot of heavy lifting and carrying involved in what we do. My back usually starts to ache by Friday afternoon from all the crates. We have these massive rolls of fabric that take two people to move around safely. The warehouse is a bit drafty and cold in the winter months and way too hot during the summer heat. We just use those big industrial floor fans to keep the air moving so we don't melt. It’s a lot of tedious paperwork too, which I don’t enjoy as much as the actual clothes. We have a small corner by the window where we keep the finished pieces ready for shipping. They look nice all lined up before they get shoved into those plain brown boxes. The neighbors over at B 113 are always complaining about where our delivery van parks on the narrow road. It’s a constant battle for a few inches of space on this busy street. We have a few guys who have worked in this building for over twenty years now. They know where every single item is kept without even looking at the stock sheets. We don’t talk much during the heavy work hours, we just focus on getting the tasks finished.
