Our academy is right on Kalkaji Main Road. We go by the name Tara Shastri Dancs Music And Arits Acadmy. It’s a bit of a long name, but that’s what we are. Being on the main road means there is always something happening outside our doors. We have music and dance going on most of the day. It’s not a quiet, sterile environment. It’s actually quite the opposite with all the sounds from the street and the instruments. We’ve been in Kalkaji for a long time. People around here know the sound of our classes. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us and the students. The space is filled with instruments and art supplies. We focus on the practice. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the dancing, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to be a world-class conservatory. We are just a local place on the main road where people can come to learn a bit of culture. It’s a practical setup. We handle the lessons and the scheduling ourselves. Kalkaji is a vibrant place to be, and being on the main road keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We just open the doors and let the music start. It’s a simple way to spend the day, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
