We are up on the 2nd floor of D-729 in C.R. Park. This is a well-known spot in New Delhi-110019. Being on the second floor means there are some stairs to climb before you get to the main space. Once you are inside, you will see a lot of open floor area because that is what we need for the performing arts. There are mirrors along some of the walls so people can see what they are doing. It can get quite loud in here when the music is playing and people are moving around, but that is just part of the daily routine. Shiamak Davar'S Institute Fo The Performing Arts has been in this C.R. Park location for a long time. The floorboards have a few scuffs from all the use, and the windows look out over the rooftops of the neighborhood. We have a small corner where we keep our bags and shoes while we work. It isn't a fancy studio with all the latest gadgets, but it has enough space and light to get the job done. The air gets a bit warm when there are a lot of people inside, so we keep the fans going. It is a busy place, especially in the evenings when more people finish their regular jobs and head over here. We focus on the movement and the practice, day after day, in this simple room above the street.
