Anuradha Creations

Our little spot, Anuradha Creations, is at No. 6 Taimoor Nagar, right there in the New Friends Colony area. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't familiar with the turns, but we like the location. It’s got a lot of character. We do a lot of designing and making things here. There’s always someone with a pair of scissors or a measuring tape in their hand. The walls are covered in sketches and bits of fabric we’ve pinned up over the months. Some of them have been there so long they’ve started to fade. We have a heavy wooden door that sticks a bit during the rainy season, so you have to give it a good push. Inside, it’s a mix of different sounds—some humming from the machines and people talking over each other. We aren't the most quiet bunch. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea, which we do way too often. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s a workshop. You’ll see threads on the rug and boxes piled up in the corners. We like it that way because it shows we are actually doing something. Every now and then, we have to stop and do a massive cleanup just to find the floor again. It’s a good life, being creative and staying busy in this part of town. We just take it day by day and see what needs making.
