Sunrise Incense

Chattarpur Extension is a very busy and crowded neighborhood. That is where we are, at D-27. Sunrise Incense is a small operation, and our space reflects that. It is full of the things we need to get our work done. You can usually smell what we’re working on before you even get through the door. It’s not a bad smell, just very distinct. The lanes around D-27 are quite narrow, so getting large vehicles in can be a challenge. We’ve had to get good at maneuvering things quickly. Inside, we have a lot of storage because incense doesn't take up much room but you need a lot of it. We don't have a lot of fancy office furniture. We use what we have, mostly old tables and some plastic chairs. The light in the office isn't great, so we have some extra lamps around the desks. We spend a lot of time counting things and packing them up for people. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we keep each other entertained with the radio or just talking about our families. The neighbors are mostly families and other small businesses, so there’s a sense of community. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to keep things running smoothly from our little corner of Chattarpur. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day.
