Sunflower

Sadar Bazar is a crowded place, and we are right in the middle of it. Sunflower is located at 2797A on New Qutab Road. If you know anything about this part of Delhi, you know it is one of the busiest markets you can find. There is constant noise from the crowds, the carts, and the honking of horns. Our shop is quite small. It is packed from top to bottom with all kinds of items. We have been here for a very long time. The shop has a lot of history in its walls. The floor is old. The shelves are a bit dusty because of all the people coming in and out all day. We don't have any modern technology in the shop. We do all our calculations on a small calculator. Or even by hand sometimes. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. It has worked for us for decades. We know most of the other shopkeepers on New Qutab Road. We often help each other out. The market can be very tiring because of the heat and the constant movement. But we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We open up early to beat the worst of the heat. We stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. We don't do any promotion or marketing at all. People just know where we are and what we sell. It’s an honest, hard-working life. We are proud to be here in the bazar. It is just a normal shop doing its best.
