Stevenstar Coffee is tucked away in Sunlight Colony at House No-523, on the second floor. It’s a residential area in South Delhi, so it’s not the kind of place you’d expect to find a coffee business. We don’t have a big sign out front or a storefront where people can sit down. Most of our work is done in the back, roasting and packing the beans. It’s a small space, so we are constantly moving things around to make room for new shipments coming in. Coffee is a tricky thing to work with because the smell gets into everything, but we don’t mind it much. Our team is small, just a few of us who know how to handle the roasters and the grinders. We spend a lot of time checking the timers and making sure the beans don't get too dark. It’s a lot of trial and error. Some days the power fluctuates or the delivery guy can’t find the house, and we have to run down to the street to meet him. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just focus on the coffee itself and getting it to the people who want it. It’s a lot of repetitive work, bagging and sealing, but it’s satisfying in its own way. We’re just a small local operation trying to do things right in our neighborhood.
