Spice Angan

Spice Angan is located in Sarvapriya Vihar at Kalu Sarai 3. If you know the area, you know it’s full of students and people rushing to classes. We are right there in the thick of it. The shop is mostly known for the shawarmas and the rolls we put together. It gets really chaotic around lunch and dinner time. There’s usually a bit of a crowd standing outside on the pavement because there isn't much room to sit inside. We keep the grill going all day long, and the smell of the meat cooking is everywhere. Our kitchen is small, so we have to be very quick with our hands. Sometimes we get the orders mixed up when it’s really busy, but we try to fix it right away. The floor gets a bit greasy by the end of the shift, so we spend a lot of time scrubbing it down at night. It’s a loud place because of the exhaust fans and the people calling out their token numbers. We don’t use any fancy packaging, just the usual foil and paper bags. The guys working here have been around for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace. It’s not a place for a fancy meal, just a spot to grab something hot and keep moving. We do our work, feed the hungry crowd, and start again the next day. It is usually very hot near the spit.
