South Cafe

It's been a few years now since we opened South Cafe here in Gautam Nagar. Most people find us at 125-A easily enough, right near the main path. We didn't start with any big plan or anything fancy. Just wanted a place where the local crowd could grab a bite and some coffee without it being a whole thing. The chairs are a bit old, and sometimes the fan makes a little noise, but it's home for us. Every morning starts about the same way. We get the stove going, wipe down the tables, and wait for the first group of regulars to show up. Gautam Nagar is a busy spot, always people moving around, students and office folks mostly. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the afternoons and we're all running around trying to keep up. It’s not perfect, but we try to keep the food decent and the prices where people can afford them. Some days the supply truck is late or the weather keeps everyone inside, but we’re usually here from early on. If you're walking past 125-A, you'll probably smell the spices before you see the sign. It’s just a small shop, nothing like those big chains you see in the malls. We just do our thing, serve the food, and hope people have a quiet moment while they eat. It's a simple life running a cafe in this part of town.
