Shweta Gaur Make Up Artist Salon & Academy

We are located on the first floor at B-7/111 D in Safdarjung Enclave. It is a nice part of Delhi, right near Deer Park and the HDFC Bank, which makes it easy for our clients and students to find us. The space is actually divided because we run a salon but we also have the academy where we teach people the art of makeup. It can get pretty noisy when we have a full class of students practicing their techniques at the same time we are trying to do a bride’s hair. There are always bags, makeup kits, and hair tools spread across the tables. We spend most of our day on our feet, moving between the mirrors and the teaching area. It is not a polished corporate office; it feels more like a busy workshop where everyone is trying to learn something new. The light coming through the windows is quite good for seeing the colors correctly, which is important for what we do. We have a small team here, and we all just pitch in with everything from answering the phone to cleaning up the fallen hair at the end of the day. It’s a lot of hard work and the hours can be very long, especially during the wedding season when we are here before the sun comes up. We just focus on the craft and try to help our students get better every day.
