Classic Beauty Clinic

Lajpat Nagar 1 is always a chaotic place to be, especially around Krishna Market. Our clinic is at A-113, right near the HDFC Bank. You can usually hear the bank customers talking outside our door. It’s a busy spot but we like it that way. Inside, we have a few chairs for hair and a separate area behind a curtain for other stuff. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some extra lamps we turn on when we need to see better. There are bottles of shampoo and cream lined up on the shelves. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair clippings faster than I can sweep them up. We’ve been here for a good while now. Most of the ladies who come in live just a few blocks away. They come in for a quick trim or to get their eyebrows done. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a small bench near the entrance. The tea stalls nearby always smell like ginger, which drifts in when the door is open. It’s a small space and it can get a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting. We just use standard tools and mirrors that have seen better days. It’s a practical place for local people to get things done without a fuss. We just keep working until the market closes. Sometimes we stay a little later if a neighbor stops by for a chat.
